The name "B'Tselem" comes from Genesis 1:27.
In Hebrew it means, "In the image of".

They published their 189 page report and video in July, 2025.

    In July of 2025 they published an 88-page report on why they believe Israel is committing the crime of genocide in Gaza.

    Founded: 1988

    Their President is Professor Raphi Walden, a vascular surgery expert, board member of the Sheba Medical Center Tel HaShomer, and professor of medicine at Tel Aviv University.

    In July 2025 they published a 65-page report analyzing Israel’s intentional destruction of Gaza’s hospitals and health infrastructure.
